The Wild Atlantic Way, 1600 miles (2600 km) in length, is one of the longest defined coastal routes in the world. It winds its way all along the Irish west coast from the Inishowen Peninsula in the north down to the picturesque town of Kinsale, County Cork, in the south. This route from start to finish unfolds the wonders of nature, the power of the ocean and its imprint on the west coast of Ireland, and the stunning countryside in all its diversity. Enchanting villages are nestled along the coast as well as ancient monuments – their origins having long sunk into the mists of oblivion dot the landscape. Behind every bend on this magical coastal road a new delight awaits.

The wild Atlantic with its unrestrained and untamable tides and storms has continuously been moulding the west coast of Ireland. With a constant meeting of water and land, a deeply indented and wild terrain has emerged with towering cliffs, spellbinding bays and beaches, mystical islands, always changing and never reaching the end. In the isolation or perhaps expressed in a different way living near and with the Atlantic at your doorstep has ensured that old traditions and the Irish language have been preserved. A trip along the Wild Atlantic Way is also an encounter with the past.

Day 1

Donegal

Meet and greet at arrivals. Chauffeur transfer to Donegal Light refreshments are provided while you sit back and relax and enjoy your journey. Check into one of Donegal’s finest hotels. Spend the evening exploring some of Donegal’s most spectacular coastal drives including Killybegs fishing port and the cliffs at Slieve League.

Day 2

Sligo

Depart for Sligo. On route visit the spectacular Glencar waterfall, view the Bulben mountains before exploring the amazing beach at Rosses point and strandhill. Let your chauffeur driver help you explore Mullaghmore characterised by spectacular ocean views. Check into one of Sligo’s luxury hotels.

Day 3

Mayo

Depart for Mayo. Today the Wild Atlantic Way will show you the beauty of Achill Island accessed by car. This island is renouned for its tall sea cliffs, beautiful beaches, rugged mountains and peat bogs. The evening includes a visit to Croagh Patrick “the Reek” mountain of 764 metres. Thousands of Pilgrims climb the Reek every year in honour of St Patrick whom according to tradition fasted and prayed on the summit for 40 days in the year 441. Check in to one of Mayo’s luxury hotels.

Day 4

Galway City

Depart for Galway. Visit Knock shrine on route. Check in to luxury accommodation in Galway city. Your driver guide will take you for some fine dining in the cultural city of Galway. After lunch the evening will be spent enjoying some of Galway cities best sites. Galway Cathedral, Galway city museum, Salthill and the promenade and Eyre square are a must see.

Day 5

Connemara

Chauffeur drive to Connemara Galway, situated at the very edge of Europe, on the west coast of Ireland and is one of the most beautiful, unspoilt places. Travelling along the wild Atlantic way. Places of interest, twelve ben mountain range, Balllyconneelly, Cliften and Kylemore abbey being a must visit. Return back to your hotel in Galway city.

Day 6

Inisheer

Check out of your hotel for the next stage of your wild Atlantic tour. Travel through the Burren in co Clare and arrive in Doolin port where you will depart for the Aran Island Inisheer @10.00 via Ferry. A Beautiful island of big skies and shimmering seas. A dynamic mix of new and old, forever enriched by those who visit. Collection from Doolin Port @ 14.30 and travel to the cliffs of Moher and explore the 8th wonder of the world. Chauffeur drive and check in to Dromoland Castle/Bunratty castle hotel.

Day 7

Bunratty

Check out of your hotel and visit Bunratty castle and Folk park. Originally built in 1425, the castle was restored to its former medieval glory in 1954. Head back to 19th-century village life at Bunratty Folk Park and meet costumed characters recreating the traditions of a bygone era. Depart Bunratty and travel to the county of Kerry to enjoy the Ring of Kerry. Taking in sights such as Muckross house and gardens, Killarney national park, gap of Dunloe, Skelig experience. Accommodation in 5-star hotel in Killarney.

Day 8

Dingle

Chauffeur Drive to Dingle and enjoy the scenic drive around slea head of the dingle peninsula. Visiting Gallarus Oratory, the beehive huts, famine cottages and the Blasket centre. Lots of photo opportunities along the this beautiful drive. Return to Killarney that evening.

Day 9

Cobh - Spike Island

Check out of hotel and travel to Cobh in co Cork. Explore the Titanic Experience and Queenstown Story tour at the Cobh Heritage centre . This titanic experinec is located in casement square in the heart of Cobh town, the original white star line ticket office. Steeped in history and the departure point for thousands of passengers the titanic experience in Cobh is an unforgettable one. Learn about Irish Emigration story, trace your ancestors, hear about the ill-fated Titanic and the Lusitania, and immerse yourself in Irish naval and military history at Cobh Heritage Centre. Spend the evening exploring spike Island. In the last 1300 years Spike Island has been host to a 6th century Monastery, a 24 acre Fortress, the largest convict depot in the world in Victorian times and centuries of island homes. The island’s rich history has included monks and monasteries, rioters and redcoats, captains and convicts and sinners and saints.

Day 10

Blarney Castlemartyr

Travel To Blarney and visit Blarney castle and gardens. This is the home to the Blarney Stone, the legendary Stone of Eloquence, found at the top of our tower. Kiss it and you’ll never again be lost for words. In the afternoon visit Castlemaryr resort and Explore Ballymaloe house and gardens before retiring for the evening in one of Corks finest luxury hotels.
